CERT Classes in the Arcadia Area

We encourage everyone to take Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) basic training classes to learn the skills as to what to do during an incident like an earthquake, wild fire, medical emergency, etc., that could make a difference to you, your family and neighborhood. Some of these skills are applicable when volunteering at trail races.

The FEMA classes are free. You are not required to join these CERT. groups after completing the training, but you may want to as some offer monthly and annual drills, lectures and practice at public service events that can be fun as well as improving your new skills. It is all voluntary.

Several C.E.R.T. Classes will be offered by fire departments in the West San Gabriel Valley:

Arcadia and Monrovia Fire Fire & Rescue - 3 day course Saturdays March 7, 14 and 21, 8am to 5pm
Open to residents or working in the city. Information and registration click HERE.
